View Course: Transgender AwarenessExploring the unconscious assumptions we all make and how they can shape workplace decisions and behaviour.
Everyone uses mental shortcuts. This course looks at how those shortcuts influence recruitment, appraisal, allocation of work and service delivery, and gives people practical techniques to slow decisions down and make them fairer.
Public bodies in Wales have a duty to advance equality of opportunity, and fair recruitment, promotion and service decisions are central to meeting it. The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 also sets the goal of a more equal Wales. Unconscious bias training helps people notice where assumptions creep into everyday decisions, then gives them practical ways to make those decisions fairer.
Managers, recruitment panels, HR teams and all staff. It's suitable for local authorities, NHS Wales organisations, schools, colleges, universities, housing associations, charities and private-sector employers.
Sessions are interactive and discussion-based, using realistic workplace scenarios rather than lectures. We create a respectful space where people can ask questions honestly. For in-house groups, we adapt examples, length and emphasis to reflect your sector, policies and priorities.
Infinity Inclusion delivers Unconscious Bias training for organisations throughout Wales. Book a live online session for teams spread across different sites, or face-to-face training at your own venue in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Bridgend, Wrexham, Merthyr Tydfil, Carmarthen, Aberystwyth, Bangor and Llandudno and beyond. Awareness on its own isn't enough, which is why this course focuses on practical techniques and process changes, such as structured interviews and clear criteria, that reduce the impact of bias on real decisions.
