View Course: Transgender AwarenessExploring gender stereotypes, sexism and workplace culture, with practical approaches to equality.
This session examines how gender stereotypes shape expectations, opportunities and behaviour at work. It covers everyday sexism, sexual harassment and the preventative duty on employers, and the practical steps that build a fairer culture.
Gender inequality still shapes pay, progression and safety at work in Wales. Employers across Great Britain now have a legal duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, and Wales's national strategy on Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence highlights the role of workplace culture. This course helps organisations tackle the everyday sexism that underpins wider inequality.
All staff, managers and HR teams. It's suitable for local authorities, NHS Wales organisations, schools, colleges, universities, housing associations, charities and private-sector employers.
Sessions are interactive and discussion-based, using realistic workplace scenarios rather than lectures. We create a respectful space where people can ask questions honestly. For in-house groups, we adapt examples, length and emphasis to reflect your sector, policies and priorities.
